"and he ate one of their crackers."

(from Multiply--funny, this was when they were 7 and 5)

I was spreading almonds in a pan for toasting, and Joshua and Lydia were in the next room playing.  I heard Joshua--"nhmnhmnhmnhm--and he was dead."
Lydia--"No, they would know he was not dead; and he ate one of their crackers."

  2. hehe that's hilarious. I've heard them with the funniest stuff. One day, Elizabeth sits down next to Joshua (I was across the room from them) and says "Joshua, did you know that there's a fish called a crappy?"
Joshua -- "No, there's not, Elizabeth."
    Elizabeth -- "There really is!"

They argued for a minute or two until I finally let them know that there is a fish called a crappie, but it's pronounced like croppy. I tried to keep a straight face... I love them.
